I am Head of Software Engineering at Cellarity, a biotech startup in the Flagship Pioneering family. Before that, I was at Sanofi, Verily Life Sciences and Google. Before that, I was a math professor working on research in low-dimensional topology and applications to machine learning.

I’m still a mathematician at heart and try to bring that perspective to everything I do, and everything I write about. These days, that’s mostly topics related to building the data infrastructure that will allow a small company to merge the best of biology and machine learning while growing into a major pharmaceutical company.
